Sunrise Capital, Inc. is a domestic profit corporation incorporated in the State of Hawaii, USA. The purpose of this business is to conduct, either directly or through one or more controlled subsidiary entities, all operations incident and/or ancillary to the acquisition, ownership, development, operation and management of aquaculture and mariculture businesses in the State of Hawaii and the Pacific Region.
Live broodstock and post-larval shrimp sales are operated under the registered trade name "Kona Bay Marine Resources". Meat production sales are operated under Sunrise Capital, Inc. Meat production shrimp are marketed under the registered trade name "Kauai Shrimp". Sunrise Capital is currently conducting research, development and commercial testing of clams, oysters and moi, as well as algal-based renewable energy, in a move to more diversify the farm.
The facilities were originally owned by CEATECH USA, but when the company went into bankruptcy in 2005, assets were purchased by Sunrise Capital and operations resumed. In early 2009, the company once again changed hands and is now associated with Integrated Aquaculture International, which has projects in Brunei, China, Indonesia.
